The Yankees are an interesting team to watch.  If they don’t make the playoffs or barely get in and lose early I would expect some big changes.  Will they pony up the biggest contract in baseball for Soto because that is what he is going to get?

If they want to commit divisional suicide, I'd say that's a fine idea.

Edit: Gunnar had 48 more PA.

Regardless was striking out at a good clip the first part of his first season.

Gunnar is still striking out a lot, he's just walking more and hitting more HR

They don't appear to be comparable talents.

If we travel back a year ago there were quite a few people questioning Gunnar’s ability to hit LHP and wondering if he’d need to platooned.

Some of you bammas were all like “Omg Suarez is done, he needs to go to the bullpen” and all I see is a dude who’s cruising.

He’s turned it around nicely.   The A’s aren’t exactly the ‘27 Yankees, either.

I’d love for all three WCs to come from the Central and West: Minnesota, KC and maybe Texas, if Seattle keeps the lead and Houston doesn’t finish the comeback. But the yankees are too far ahead. They’d have to really collapse…but one can hope.
