I'm with your fiend who would like to see him go all year with zero home runs. That would be awesome.

I'm miss Nick, but I fully admit the contract was too much for what he's worth. Having said that, boy would that OBP do wonders for the O's lineup.

Yes, he's on pace for 40-45 doubles now, after an extremely slow start in that regard.

I wonder if he has even come close to hitting a homer? I'd still gladly have a guy who gets on base 40% of the time and gets his share of doubles.

Jake Arrieta gave up four runs in a short outing vs the AL again. He does not do well against AL clubs.

Yeah, Turner Crushed it last year too. He has really filled out and developed power. He looks like a Lumberjack up there with that big Red Beard. Always liked him.

And we just optioned one of our better starters (Chen) in the Toronto series because he doesn't fare well against them. We probably should have skipped Tillman, too.

Meanwhile, Arrieta followed up his poor effort with a four hit CG shut out. When's the last time any of our starters did that against any team, AL or NL?

Nick finishes June with zero homeruns for the season. Still holding firm with a respectable 746 OPS and 389 OBP. rWAR sitting at an even 1 (fWAR slighly more favorable at 1.2) at almost the halfway point of the season. Nick has started in 76 of Atlanta's 77 games, including 1 game as DH.

So this is kinda depressing.

De Aza with the BoSox this year:

.317/.364/.610/.973 in 27 games. I imagine they're using him as strictly a platoon OF (his splits are incredibly dramatic this year) but still.

In his first game back in a month (injury), Andrew Miller gave up 2 runs in one inning ...... but still got credit for a save.
