Gary Thorne definitely has a place in a certain Baltimore neighborhood, though I'm not sure if he lives there in the offseason. I see him often during the season.

Watching the preview makes me realize that the image of Chris Davis running across the infield carrying McClouth fireman-style is my favorite and most lasting image of the 2012 season.

I've got to think we'll get shipping notifications sometime this week....I got out my slide rule, compass, protractor, calculator and calendar and it looks like today qualifies as "mid-January"

Let's face it, the biggest problem with Jim Hunter over the years has been his unwillingness to be openly critical of the team and glossing over the fact that the team stunk. None of that applies to this video. It's a feel-good piece about a feel-good year. I don't think Hunter will detract at all.

SO what is Jim Hunter is a homer. It's sports commentary. Why does he need to be Mencken? He has a good voice and he calls a decent game. I do wish they would let Joe Angel do a TV game once and awhile. It would be cool to hear the radio guys on TV and vice-versa.

The DVD is available now. It will be shown at Fanfest and available to be purchased there. I assume that those of use who pre-purchased will receive it very shortly.

I like Jim Hunter. Good voice, great understanding of the game. I actually liked it when he filled in for Manfra on the radio for a few games this past season.
