2015 Minors Spring Camp

The Minor League pitchers scheduled to pitch Friday in the games against the Red Sox, but were bumped by the Major League pitchers, did get to pitch in an extra game with reserve position players. A little confusion added to the fun today as Dylan Bundy wore Bobby Bundy?s jersey during his pitching turn. Dylan?s wasn?t out of the dryer in time so he grabbed his brother?s. Hunter Harvey took a hard comebacker to the leg today and will be examined by a physician on Sunday.

Scheduled to pitch Saturday are:

Norfolk: Drake (1), McCoy (2), Cabral (2), Kasparek (2), Prado (2).

Bowie: D. Bundy (2), Delgado (2), Hart (2), Rheault (1), Yacabonis (1), Torres (1).

Frederick: Harvey (2), Wager (2), Crichton (1), Bill (1), Trowbridge (1), Nowottnik (1), McGranahan (1).

Delmarva: Cosme (2), Long (2), Ayers (1), Pinales (1), Nootbaar (1), Lin (1), Burke (1).

Sunday is a camp day with no games against team outside of the Orioles. Normally on camp days, players will work on special drills and have intra-squad games.

Today, the A squads were away while Norfolk and Bowie at Twin Lakes.

Norfolk Lineup:

CF: Ruettiger.

2B: Navarro.

Delmarva Projections: There is a huge numbers crunch for the Delmarva roster. It was already known that there would be twice as many pitchers capable of making the team as there are openings, but now it appears that there is plenty of competition for the position players as well. Here are my projections coming into spring training and so far I haven?t changed them. Pitchers: B. Gonzales, Hess, Connaughton (after 1 month is extended to get in pitching shape). Catchers: Heim, A. Murphy. IF: Reyes, Anderson. OF: Leyva, Hart.
