(SEPTEMBER 18th)

The Angels beat the Twins last night to keep their faint playoff hopes alive.

It was a crazy game, as the Angels' starting pitcher (Hector Santiago) only lasted 0.67 innings, and their bullpen had to somehow piece together 8.33 innings to hang on for the win ...... which they did.

The Twins scored 5 runs in the bottom of the 1st inning, and then the Angels came back to score 6 runs in the top of the 2nd.

The Twins' starter (Tommy Milone) only lasted 1.33 innings himself.

The Angels have lost 4 straight games, and 10 out their last 14 to put their postseason hopes in jeopardy.

Like the Orioles, they are essentially on life-support.

The Angels' playoff hopes are not so faint anymore ...... and they do not appear to be on life-support anymore, either.

Their win over the Astros this afternoon pulled them to within a game-and-a-half of them for the 2nd wildcard spot.
