I don’t care if McKenna homered and if the O’s have a crystal ball telling them Stowers will suck against lefties forever, replacing Stowers with McKenna is STUPID while Santander is patrolling RF with a one run lead.

Maybe Hays can defensive sub for Santander after his next at bat. Even so, pinch hitting was not the important place to deploy McKenna in this game.

Well ideally the prospects would go towards an ace.

How is he not an improvement?  Because of his high ERA in a small sample this year?  His xFIP is 3.66.  I guess it’s possible that he’s toast at 36 but like I said the peripherals look good.

It's very possible. And yes I would prefer an ace type pitcher be acquired. It's what we don't have now and what we will need in October.

I feel every time he has a minor slump people will say he’s regressing. Dudes hitting .311 still lol

As he's cooling off, other dudes like Santander are heating up... sounds like baseball to me. It's a long season guys will have hot and cold spells.
