Man, that's horrible. He was realy good. Wasn't he sick a while back? I remember something, but not specifically what.

Markas and Gubicza were set to be the top team on Angels TV this coming season.

"Just another Halo victory" was a trademark as I would watch late-night baseball and catch the Angels from time to time on Extra Innings.

You might be thinking of Bob Starr who died about 10 years ago after a long battle with cancer? He was 65 at the time, which is young enough these days to be commented on.

He almost died then. He then decided to do every broadcast as if it were the thing he most wanted to do in the world. And he did. He was a delightful person and talent. His calls in the Angels World Series were some of the most electrifying Ive ever heard. He finally got the job of his dreams(Angels TV broadcaster) when he fell dead last night. Horrible. Tragic. And so sad.
