After the blockbuster deal that sent Bedard to the Mariners and many of their top prospects in the field and on the mound back to Baltimore the Mariners looked set to contend with the Angels. 51 games in to the season, the Mariners aren't even contending with the Rangers. They are 15 games below 500 and 12 games behind the Angels. Two things:

1) How much time does Mclaren have left in Seattle and

2) What are the chances the Mariners try to flip Bedard after acquiring him this past offseason. I don't see him resigning after 09.

The Mariners have the worst record in the majors and are trying hard for the #1 pick next year in the draft.

If they trade Bedard, they arent going to get as much value as they gave up for him.
