@Tony-OH Is Holliday better in the field at SS than Gunnar?  Gunnar seems better at SS than 3rd.  Do you think maybe Holliday should play 3rd or even 2nd?

Gunnar has the better arm for sure, but they similar with athleticism and quickness. Holliday seems to have a little better hands than Henderson did at the same age. I still need to see more plays where Holliday needs his arm as he moves up, but if he moves to any position it will most likely be to CF or 2B.

Some other prep shortstop's measurables from tippy top of recent drafts...Francisco Lindor being his closest Height/Weight match an interesting one to anchor on imagining what it might look like sometime next year.   Lindor himself spent 3.5 seasons climbing the ladder.

'22 Jackson Holliday, 6-0, 185

'21 Marcelo Mayer, 6-2, 188

'21 Jordan Lawlar, 6-1, 190

'19 Bobby Witt, 6-1, 200

'19 CJ Abrams, 6-2, 191

'17 Royce Lewis, 6-2, 200

'15 Brendan Rodgers, 6-0, 204

'14 Nick Gordon, 6-0, 160

'12 Carlos Correa, 6-4, 220

'11 Francisco Lindor, 5-11, 190

It seems like Witt is much bigger than Holliday. Strange.

Jackson Holliday, Adam Jones, and Heston Kjerstad take a photo in the clubhouse before the Futures Game.

Both Adam and Heston are listed at 6'3". Jackson is closer to the camera here so it's hard to tell, but I'm not sure he's three inches shorter than them. I would guess he's at least 6'1" at this point.

Doubt it since he’s not on the 40 man. And they prob don’t want to start his clock.

I think his chances to make the club this year are less than 5%.   If he hits like .350 with pop at AA and if we somehow have a need then maybe.  But I cant really see it.

But I always remember Machado.
