Astros Home/Road splits

Houston is actually respectable at home sitting at 25-27. For a team that lost 106 games last season, that's not too bad.

However, on the road this year they are 11-45!! 11 and 45!! And that is after they won last night in Atlanta.

I'm sure someone can find out, but I wonder what the worst road record in history for a team was? 11-45 is miserable!

The 1899 Cleveland Spiders went 11-101 on the road. They only played 42 home games all year. The fans just stopped showing up pretty early in the year, so they just stopped playing home games. Their opening day crowd of 15,000 was almost certainly more than 1/10th of their yearly total.

The 1890 Pittsburgh Alleghenys went 9-88 on the road.

Since 1901 the worst road record is by the '35 Boston Braves, who went 13-65.

The 1906 Cubs went 60-15 on the road. The '39 Browns went 18-59 at home.
