Woah.

That is a very simple idea that sounds like it has more benefits than drawbacks. I wonder if it will catch on in a bigger way.

The one question I have is, it mentions how with an Axe Bat the same side of the bat is always hitting the ball. It says they design the bats to prepare for this, but I wonder if the bats are less durable because they are always being hit in the same spot?

Is that even legal? Isn't there a stipulation in the rules that the shape has to be "regular"? Something to that effect.

I don't know of anyone using it in the majors.

If it doesn't follow current bat specifications then those specifications could be changed, if MLB decided to allow the product.

Considering it is safer and would boost offense not sure what problem they would have with it.
