I should have clarified he started games at those spots. He had started 19 straight games at 1B before this stretch. If they are keeping Trey it looks to me like Ryan will be in LF next year. 

Maybe even September we will see him.

Diaz should play at AAA next year. Ryan in LF, Hays in CF and Santander in RF. See what they have. Stewart can be a 4th OF if they choose.

Tons of moving parts in play.  I wouldn't read a lot into anything.

True. They at least seem to be open minded about him playing LF and are giving him a good look.

Under the current rules he could be up by April 10th to gain the extra year.

Whine all you want about whether or not it's 'wrong,'  but Elias signaled about this before and there is certainly a strategic reason to do it this way.
