Or if you look closer, you'll realize he has pitched tremendously since May.
ERA by month:

March: 8.44

April: 7.76

May: 2.44

June: 1.90

July: 2.27

August: 1.37

I'm not saying going to the NL didn't help, but it certainly doesn't explain the huge difference in ERA, a terrible start to the season explains that.

Yeah, fair enough. I still say it must be awfully nice every time the bottom of the order comes around.

  Ah jeez, totally forgot about Wells. Lol. But I will say, I don't want him anywhere near the rotation. They need to just read the writing on the wall and make the guy a permanent reliever like they did with Baumann and Akin. Unless something dire happens to the rotation.

  Apart from Judge and Soto the Yankee offense does not scare me. Cincinnati will probably be a tougher team to pitch against simply because of their stadium. Basically pre-wall OPACY without a scoreboard.

  I agree whole-heartedly with webbrick but this is actually a good point. I think there should be an exception for the feet first slide during the pop-up. If you come off the bag during that, you're still good.

  Tyler Wells is also on the IL Doubt he comes back when eligible on April 28th. Haven't heard many updates about him.
