O'Hearn had a good game yesterday.   It would be rare for Mountcastle to sit two in a row - manager's decision, but I half expect that might happen.

Urias is only 2-for-18 since returning, and could be easy to spot out against RH SP as well.

Perhaps a Vavra start. He and Frazier between 2B and RF and Santander at DH

Are there any waiver wire pitchers we can sign?  Last couple or years we signed Baker, C.Perez, Jorge Lopez, Coulombe, Voth any other I missed, that turned out pretty good for awhile. Maybe we can sign another diamond in the rough.

It's not as easy this year since we don't get early dibs on the waiver wire.

At least Mountcastle finally got moved down to 6th.  I hated to see his sub .300 OBP hitting 3rd.

Both Cedric and Gunnar being out now, probably means he climbs back up in the lineup to at least #5 unless something surprising is done like putting O'Hearn or Hicks there.

Ugly lineup today given the injuries and poor performers.  Yuck.

It’s the best we can trot out there. Over 162, guys like Hicks and Lester gotta give us a little something. Day games are always going to be ugly with McCann catching.

I like Hicks’ patience in the 5 spot. He’s giving us solid vet ABs.

It's not the best we can trot out there.   It's the best we are willing to trot out there without tapping into our minor league depth perhaps.

DHing today. Resting him up for the trip to MIL? I don't think today would have been an option on such short notice.

I understand today, but if Gunnar ends up on the IL, I hope they call up Westburg.

It’s looking like Gunnar won’t need a trip to the IL based on Hyde’s remarks.
