He'll probably inch his way back up a bit as his bat wakes up, but yes, his defensive limitations and middling plate discipline give me a bit of pause on what his ceiling is at the major league level.

McDermott is a guy I'm excited about. I can't wait for more details. He was supposed to have great stuff but poor command. Now in AAA, he suddenly has tremendous results (after his first outing). It's only 4 starts, so I don't want to get ahead of myself, but it's all very promising. 

I feel like we could be seeing the emergence of a legit starting pitching prospect who's almost ready for the majors, and a reliever who in theory could help this year if we really needed him to.

Not that it’s a big deal, but I noticed two team affiliations that are out of date.  Brandon Young is now at Bowie, Carter Baumler is now at Delmarva.

Some general thoughts:

* Really cool to see the studs hovering on the cusp as we close out a post-season run!  Decisions this offseason will be needed and I'm sure interesting.

* We have answers to be pretty much any need at the moment.  We're competitive and not at the mercy of Mr. FA Market or Mr. Trade Market.  Risk Mitigation 101.

* SPs are looking much stronger this year than prior years.  Ol' McDermott has really impressed this year.  Povich's inconsistencies have been well documented, but he has taken steps and is knocking.  Johnson, Baumler, Means, Young, etc. getting healthy.  The SP heavy draft in 2023 (and tossing in Bright here too).  Some international guys showing some life.  Even Hall's frustrations/journey this season landed in the "feel good" territory.  Pitchers are still a work in progress compared to the strength/depth of the positional players, but a bit of a hidden gem of the system.

* I really like seeing the new FCL/DSL blood coming onto the board and pushing some of the org types down the board.

* Horvath has me more excited than I thought I would be.  I can see him drifting up into top 10 territory even without graduations in the offseason "official" rankings.

Yeah, there's a lot of movement of late and I didn't catch those when I updated the list.
