He had slow starts in 2008 and 2009 where he managed a solid slash lines on the season. Definitely not the Vlad of old but I hope no one was expecting that.

Yeah I get it, he's 36, which is why he got a 1 year deal. Yes, he has an empty BA, but the old man is leading the team in hits and I'm certain the walks will come. But should we be worried about a guy that'll be gone after this season, or most of the young core who are doing just as bad, if not worse?

IMO, there's a big difference between saying Vlad was a bad signing and making fun of how he looks, whether he speaks English, his reading ability, etc.
