Well, that was my fault. Sorry, but I could just see it coming. This guy is realllllllllllllllllllllllly good at this point.

Burres has still pitched well. This was just an inning where everything went wrong and Burres' pitch count in the inning got out of hand.

Indeed. Once all the bloopers kept the inning alive, it really ran up on him quick. I think that drop down curve was the last pitch of quality he had.

And that's why Burres isn't a starter...

He simply doesn't have the command to make it through multiple times through a line-up.

Could be a very effective long-reliever (or spot-starter or even specialist) I think.

He'll get the stamina up, but that inning was kept alive and really gassed him.

He and his brother are ridiculous. It's like their mom drank HGH when they were in the womb.

Be awfully tough to top Joe and Dom DiMaggio...

Yea, that's the benchmark right? I'm sure Drungo could give us a nice primer on baseball genealogies. The Ripkens are obviously up there.

Justin Upton is already crushing the ball. He looks like he's heading for Pujols, Arod territory in terms of monster pre-25 stats.
