His career stats obviously won't get him in but on account of individual seasons of brilliance, his impact on baseball in America (and in Asia), and his position as a trailblazer for other Japanese players, I think he deserves a discussion.

Thoughts? I won't even bother Keltner-Testing him.

Curt Flood isn't in the HOF for impact, this shouldn't even be an afterthought.

Not a HOF but a notable player in the history of the game. Heck of a pitcher in his prime as well.
