Might happen for a month or two until Elias gets tired of Irvin getting beat up.

I find it really weird that you’re usually so convinced that Holt can make every Tom, Dick and Harry into a better pitcher and yet you’re drawing a line in the sand around Cole Irvin.  He had a better year than Gibson, is a similar type of pitcher, and is considerably younger.  So why do you think Holt can get Gibson (and everyone else) on track but do nothing for Irvin?

In any event, l think it’s likely Irvin starts in the rotation.   We’re in a good spot in that if anyone in the OD rotation falters or gets hurt, there’s plenty of candidates to replace them.

So in a pennant race season is alright to give away games until they are compelled to replace the starter from the rotation.  Sounds like a poor plan.

Lol…you can say this about Kremer or Gibson and perhaps Bradish as well.

All-Star Gibson had a 2.87 ERA in 2021 in Texas which is a blueprint for how he can succeed.   When has Irvin done that in the majors........Never.

Kremer (27)and Bradish (26) both   have mid 90s fastballs and are still improving.   Irvin (29) struggles to get to 90.  His margin for error is very low which his homers allowed show.

Irvin had a 2.92 ERA through his first 20 starts last year.

Lol..AS Gibson was WORSE than Irvin last year.

Bradish is improving but still has a reliever possibility hanging over him and Kremer struck out fewer batters per 9 IP than Irvin did. He misses more bats (although he is below average at it) but walks more and throws less strikes And has a history of throwing a lot less strikes than he did even last year.

This is a horrendous argument by you. Irvin isn’t anything special but neither is anyone else we have outside of GRod and maybe Bradish.

What the F are you even talking about?  No matter who the O’s put in the rotation, the odds are that at least one of the pitchers will have issues and be replaced  by May 31.   Who will it be?  Couldn’t tell you.

You didn’t answer my question about Holt.

Look at the parks they played in.   After Bradish 2nd half he is not in danger of being a reliever any time soon.   Kremer had a 3.23 ERA.

In one breath you said Bradish is in danger of being a reliever and in the next you say he is one of the two best pitchers in the the rotation.  Talk about Horrendous Arguments.

Yes, he'll be pitching at Camden Yards. Tony pointed out that his HR allowed would have been better in Baltimore versus Oakland.

Oakland is a notorious pitchers park.   Philly plays in a notorious hitters park.   Play with the metrics all you want it does not change that.
