Did Cowser get more than 2 ABs?  I am interested to hear about his slump after the hot start.

He had one more at bat, struck out and the manager benched him in favor of another player.  Gotta send a message, you know.

He was pulled because Elias traded him for Austin Martin.

Which is a good a reason as any to get him to Delmarva.

Probably should have started there anyway.  I get why they did it but he needs to play and he is an advanced college bat, so he can move up.

It doesn’t hurt to let him shake off the rust against lower level competition.  But If he’s there longer than one more week after this one, I’ll be surprised.

I have no problems with them getting PAs in the FCL, IF they actually play game there this year. The rainouts have been crazy this year.

They should move Cowser up to Delmarva so he can always say he hit .800 at a minor league level! lol

Honestly, he clearly has his timing. Everyone has actually done well down there minus Norby who is hitless and made an error.

August 9 - Cowser 3-4 so far today with 2 doubles.  Currently batting .692 with a 1.868 OPS.

Not to be outdone, Collin Burns is 2-2, now hitting .833 with a 1.857 OPS and showing why he should have been the #1 draft pick instead.

Still not a high enough OPS for Frobby to want him up in Delmarva though!

I think it's pretty obvious Cowser has his timing down and Burns as well. They need to get these guys up to Delmarva start tomorrow. No reason to keep them down in the FCL once they hit their stride. Smashing glorified high school pitching in the FCL is not really anything more than a nice start. Mayo needs to head up as well.
