Personally I pay Beltre what it costs to get him in here for 2 (and only 2) years. That will give Bell the necessary seasoning needed.

I'm not the biggest Pedro Feliz fan, but if he's willing to sign a one-year deal for $4 million, IMO we should be a little more interested than we appear to be.

As much as it pains me to think of Wigginton as our everyday 3b next season I didn't see Feliz as an upgrade. And I'm still hoping we can work out a Pie/Gordon swap...

Yeah, now that if Feliz signs with Astros, and we really don't want Crede or Glaus... and Atkins might be a possibility for the non-tender deadline, I think we'll be looking at Atkins.

PS) I think we should be a bit more agressive in our pursuit of Beltre, now that the Sox are out of the mix. I just don't want the Os to give him a 4 year contract. I say throw a ton of money at him for 2 yrs. If he wants more contract security show him the door.
