A lot has to do with when you are brought up.   It’s almost impossible for a player called up in July- September to finish high in the RoY voting.

I've been to OPACY, Memorial Stadium (although don't remember it very well as I was very young), Veterans Stadium (ASG '96), Citizens Bank Park, Nationals Park, RFK Stadium, Turner Field, and Petco in San Diego.

There's a new MLB rule inspired by one of the newest Orioles.

A few interesting items from the small print of the new CBA:

• Commissioner can set the trade deadline anywhere between July 28 and August 3.   This will allow them to make it so it isn't in the middle of series or on a day there there are a lot of day games.
• If the All Star Game is tied after 9 innings, it will be decided by an impromptu Home Run Derby of AL players vs NL players.
• There may be a "mid-game" concert at the All Star Game similar to the Super Bowl halftime show (the CBA says the parties agree to discuss the possibility)
• There will be regular season games in Mexico City each May from 2023-2026, in London in June of 2023, 2024, and 2026, in Paris in June 2025, in San Juan in Sept 2025 and 2026.   There will be a season opening series somewhere in Asia in 2024 and a season opening series in Tokyo in 2025.
• There will be spring training games in P.R. and D.R. in 2024
• There will be a WBC in 2023 and 2026
• There will be post season MLB All Star tours after this season in South Korea and Taiwan, and after 2023 in Latin America.
• Amateur draft signing bonuses will total $300mm this year, with $8,842,200 as the slot for the #1 pick which the Orioles own.
• The Covid caused rule that games of < 5 innings that are rained out are suspended instead of being replayed from the start, is being kept.   So no more stats being erased by rainouts in games that don't go 5 innings.
• Opiates and opiods added to the drugs that are tested for, and they will be tested for randomly during spring training instead of just at the opening physical exam of spring training.
• HGH testing will be conducted by dried blood spots instead of drawing blood, although drawing blood can still be used when there is "reasonable cause".
• There will be a joint investigation conducted to determine whether contaiminated meat products in the Dominican Republic could possibly cause false positives for a couple of specific illegal drugs.
• There must be at least 7 off days after July 31, with at least 3 after August 31, for each team.
• Conduct policy has workplace harrassment and child pornography clauses added.

For me, it's Shea Stadium, Veterans Stadium, OPACY, Nationals Park, and the Trop.

Feinsand on MLB's Ballpark Dimensions podcast said a committee will decide metrics for divvying up the bonus pool, and that Fangraphs and Baseball-Reference both expressed some lack of comfort with "their numbers" affecting stuff.

They also had the fun take that Vlad and the 91-win Jays, if this was next year, would have that longshot lottery ticket on Druw Jones.

Nothing is guaranteed but I think he will play in 130-150 games, but not catch that many.

What year did the 19 game intra-division schedule begin? This is actually the biggest and best of the rule changes. If NL batters have the DH now, they no longer have the inherent advantage so why not play every team? Actually makes interleague a touch more exciting and I'll get to see all of the NL's players now.

The biggest reason would be all the extra travel.  At least one more cross country road trip for instance.

Baseball once again can’t get it right …. They should agree on a % of revenue that needs to spent on players and that money should go into a pool that is split evenly among the teams to make the game fair. 
 

Lots to address the selfishness of the players and owners ….nothing for the fans of the majority of teams not in New York, LA, or Boston.
