It will pick back up next week. Wouldn’t be surprised if we see one big transaction in the next couple of days but ultimately, it will start back up next week.

One of the insiders on the WS board said their GM isn’t even in the office this week, which is fairly normal for this time of the year.

Makes sense.  Most people aren't in the office where I work either (though I am, ugh), so only fair that GMs would too.

Hate to say it, but the Rays were just fine last year without Franco....and three (maybe 4) pitchers who they counted on for big seasons landing on the DL.  They will be tough again next year, even if they don't sign anyone.
