2020 college prospects watch

Asa Lacy, vs. Miami (OH): 6.0 IP, 3 H, ER, 2 BB, 8 SO
Reid Detmers, vs. Ole Miss: 5.0 IP, 3 H, ER, 2 BB, 9 SO

 

Austin Martin a bit slow out of the gate, 2 for his first 10.

Torkelson 3 for 9 with 2 HR.  Nice start.  Also 8 walks with 9 at-bats.  4 of them were intentional.

Nick Gonzales is on fire 8-14, 4 HR!   Short fences where he plays, but has been in beast mode...!

And Austin Martin is playing third base like he did last year. He's never been a regular shortstop in college.

They say that Gonzales hits at altitude against 2nd tier college pitching.   But the numbers may be tough to ignore.  For what it's worth, he dominated the Cape Cod League too...

Gonzalez could be our Anthony Rendon for the next 10 years. He’s my choice right now.

Austin Martin 2-5 with 2 singles.

Torkelson 1-4 with a single

Asa Lacy 5 IP 4 H 1 ER 14K's

Nick Gonzales 2-4 with HR #5

I've watched Kumar pitch quite a bit.   He's a once in a generation type talent and if he stays healthy, he's virtually a lock for #1 next year.   That's why the O's really need to finish with the worst record this year- I'd be disappointed if they don't....

Anybody else watch college baseball on ESPN app? Any other game recommendations, if so.  I get ESPN+ as well.  Watched Rocker's game this weekend and yeah he is a phenom.

Veen all the way up to 4. Not good for my idea of snagging him at a discount and getting someone else over slot. Unfortunately I don't think the risk you would take picking him second would be worth it when you can get proven college players with huge ceilings as well.
