I just picked up my student ticket at 8:30 am this morning! Ill be in section 115 row 6! Go Terps, Beat Navy!

Also, one concern I had about this game. As most people around here know, after every Maryland touchdown, the student section sings an a capella version of Rock and Roll Part 2 (hey, you suck song). Usually, I participate with great fervor. Against Navy though, I don't think I will, nor should anyone. These are guys who are going to be in the armed forces. They really don't suck. This will be the one time I don't participate in that tradition.

I'm sure that most people will sing it, without even thinking about who they're singing it about. Alcohol and thoughtlessness will surely be involved.

You're absolutely right that this isn't a tradition to keep tonight.

This, on the other hand... ;)

I see Navy winning this game, they have one of the most underrated players in the nation in there QB Dobbs, I expect him to run big on a poor Terps Run Defense. Navy has had some impressive wins last year in Notre Dame and Missouri, also almost beating Ohio State in the opener last year. Navy is going to come out ready against a very inconstant Terps squad.

lol... I'll probably donate even when the Terps win... but I'll be surprised if I lose the bet.

Navy lost a bunch of their LB's... they will not stop the MD running game... if they commit extra defenders in the box, MD will be able to beat them over the top. Navy likes that bend but not break defense... containment, trying to keep you in front.... I think MD is going to have the opportunity to spread them out and get Navy out of their comfort zone.

I'm hoping the game does not come down to a kick for MD... I guess Baltz should be ok if he has to play for Ferrara.

MD might be able to move the ball, but I don't see them stoping the triple option.

Maryland tends to struggle early in the season even against some cupcakes. I mean last year they barely beat JMU in the 2nd game of the season and then lost to Middle Tennessee for the 2nd year in a row. For whatever reason it takes this team a few weeks to get their legs under them and I think that's going to cost them against Navy.

Even though I spent 20 years in the Army, I grew up a Navy fan since Annapolis was right down the street. Saying that, I've always been a Maryland fan so despite my dual allegiances, I'll be rooting for Maryland on Monday from section 524.

If Navy does win I won't be decimated, but I would prefer a Terps victory.
