Will it take more than just Mateo to get that type of deal done?

Buster Olney is reporting the injury is really bad. Can't imagine the Dodgers roll into the season without acquiring another ML caliber SS.

It shouldn't. A gold glove caliber SS for a prospects ranked around # 70 at 24/25 years old.

1. No he's not. I don't care that he's on their roster. Every team has scrubs.

2. This was a reverse jinx kind of thing for me. I hope gets get traded to them so that he's no longer in the conversation for the Orioles. They have better players that need the AB that Mateo is going to take away. No way the Dodgers want him though.

Maybe we can get Yusniel Diaz to headline a trade, like the last time we traded a SS to the Dodgers.

I don't think it is an issue of needing to get Mateo out of the conversation. We have Gunnar Henderson and we need to find a position to put him every day.

In order for that to happen, we would need to move Mateo or Urias. Both have a valuable set of tools that could help other teams.

Mateo or Urias should be targets. I’m not familiar with their infield. Can either of their 2B/3B be shifted to SS

Elias would have a lot of leverage here. It would not surprise me if he got Stone and Pepiot. They’re two spare parts for the Dodgers, but would be cheap #3/#4 types for us.  Ortiz can cover the Mateo role until Holliday is here, which isn’t too far away.
