Historically, 83.6%.  

 

Edit: My number is probably different from CoC's because I remove the dead ball era when I look up historic stats.

Because it's likely the best pitch they're gonna see and in a hittable zone.

My opinion on this is we anticipate first-pitch strikes and don’t want to fall into a hole quickly. Right?

I still think we aren't hitting ...yes, we have the lead..but we aren't striking the ball well....Jones is part of the reason of course...

Anyway the numbers are close enough to each other that it doesn't make any difference.
